Meet Dr. Belen Velastegui, DDS

Dr. Belen Velastegui has been creating healthy and beautiful smiles since 2003 when she graduated from dental school in Ecuador. When she moved to New York, she worked as a dental assistant for ten years before enrolling in a dental hygiene program. From there, she was accepted to New York University College of Dentistry through their prestigious Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists. She graduated from NYU in 2016 and completed her residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 2017, where she also works as an attending dentist.

Dr. Velastegui decided to open her own practice so she could build relationships with her patients. As a friendly and outgoing professional, she loves getting to know her patients and their families. Dr. Velastegui’s personal approach to dentistry is why her patients feel so comfortable at her office, and why they refer their friends and family to come to see her.

When she’s not taking care of smiles, Dr. Velastegui loves spending time with her husband and introducing her two sons to all the wonderful foods and cultures New York has to offer. She also loves playing with her two dogs, traveling, and relaxing at home with her family.

Meet Dr. Ana Velastegui, DDS

Dr. Ana Velastegui is a second-generation dentist with a lifelong passion for creating healthy smiles. Dr. Velastegui was born in Ecuador and moved to New York at age 12 with her family. She went on to attend CUNY Queens College, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Master’s in Molecular Biology. In 2018, Dr. Velastegui moved to Buffalo, NY to attend the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2022. Upon graduating, she returned to Queens, NY in an effort to give back to the community where she was raised, and in 2023 she completed her GPR residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Velastegui is committed to providing modern, comprehensive, and affordable dental care to her patients. In her pursuit to provide such care, Dr. Velastegui is committed to being a lifelong learner, she is currently enrolled in a two-year program for Implant Surgery and Prosthetic Treatment at New York University. Dr. Velastegui also holds strong ties to the dental community. She is an advocate and active member of various dental organizations, such as the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Queens County Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

During her free time, Dr. Velastegui enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new cuisines, and traveling.
